MERCAN
I wanted to allocate a room to my inner voice Mercan. That accompanied me in my thought process and reflection on all the rooms and the project.
FAMILY
Room 'family' I used the only family photo we had and dealt with the fact that this photo was not physically available.
TURKEY
Made choices to the extent that my geography premised it. I made choices based on my geography and they were made for me. Sometimes I tried to choose the most logical option from those presented to me and sometimes I tried to create my own options, but now it is becoming difficult to make choices and create new options. In moment under construction.
SELF
In the video performance, I reconsidered my identity, personality, habits and characteristics. I made the first video in 2019 and the second video in 2022. It contains both 'me' and 'mercan' and some of the things I would like to have in me. I used the 'view through someone else's eyes' feature of facebook. To view my profile through the eyes of a stranger and I adjusted some things accordingly. I reflected the perfect person in my utopia.
